New set idea.

With this being the Centennial of the First World War, the idea struck me - what do you guys think about a set commemorating The assassination of Archduke Franz
Ferdinand? You'd have a staff car, driver, the Archduke and Duchess, Gavarillo
Princep, bystanders and police.

I also thought of a 1914 series with the respective staffs. For the British you'd
have Sir John French, Douglas Haig and some staff members and guards. For the French,
Marshal Joffre and staff, and maybe some cuirassiers. Kaiser Wilhelm and staff and
for the Russians you could have Czar Nicholas and his son Alexi in matching Cossack
uniforms and staff. I'm sure you could come up with some great ideas for such sets.

Re: New set idea.

I'd say the idea would work better for a metal manufacturer like Hagen or Germania, but it'd make an interesting diorama.

Re: New set idea - already exist!

But there is already such set in metal, produced by Germania Figuren:

Re: New set idea.

Interesting idea though I think missing components of the French army(and others) would be my priority...

Re: New set idea.

Personality sets have been a Strelets strong point in the past. a set of WWI general staff personalities might be right down their street. It is ,of course, a set that people will only buy one box of.

Obvious appeal for collectors and dioramists but, dare I say, wargamers could use these to designate areas that their opponents artillery can't possibly reach.
