Winterizing

We will be leaving our Piper 55 in Auxerre for several months in the depth of winter and are hesitating between fullly winterizing the boat (i.e., draining all systems) and simply leaving it plugged in with the thermostat set on low. The main obstacle to winterizing appears to be the water in the radiators, which don't seem to have a single, easily accessible drain. What do others do? Any wisdom / advice will be gratefully accepted.

Re: Winterizing

Hi Steve,

The heating system should be filled with a 50/50 mix of demineralized water and antifreeze. I change mine about every five years and have never had a problem with freezing in a British winter.
