Somersets - What does this mean please? |

My father was hospitalised after being in France with the BEF. From his records, I see that he was first posted to the 8th DLI and then to something called the Y list? On the 7 July 1941 he was posted to 8th Somerset LI and then again to the Y list (whatever that is) before being discharged as as unfit undr KRs 1940 para 390 (XVI) - Can anyone tell me what this might mean and what the Y list is?
