I don't know if this is where I should be asking this question. But I'm sure if it isn't someone here can stear me in the right direction.
I have come across my great grandfathers discharge papers dated August 1864. The information there states that he signed up in 1854 with the 3rd foot
Discharged at Sheffield on the 3rd day of August 1864 in good standing from the 43rd reg foot the buff.
His name was Private George Page born in Chilcote Warwickshire England.#3107. It says he recieved 3 medals and clasps Crimea, China, and I can't decifer the other one the ink is too faded.
If anyone could give me information on him it would be greatly appreciated!! |
