Re: NAIL HYGIENE

Hi Max's Mom,

This is what I did back in my baby days which my daughter is now 31, but you know, some of what grandmoms and mothers did way back are just as good or better than what people do today. For cleaning a babys nail, because I was afraid of using a file and if they moved, of jamming it up their tender skin was to use a very soft toothbrush and at bathing time, just lightly scrub up under the nail and clean they will come. As for clipping their nails and if you can't do it while asleep, this is what some doctors, back then suggested, my mom did this, and I did, my daughter has done with her 3 and daughter in law has done, it may sound a little gross but we lived and the babies got their nails clipped so as not to scratch themselves, is to bite them! Babys nails are very soft so they bite easily. (Scrub them first though :) ) Hope it helps!
