Hello-
I'm going snowshoeing in Vermont in a couple weeks and would like to take my 16-month old son with me. Anyone have any experience or advice on how I can do this - are there any toddler sled type things out there that I can strap him in and drag or push along? Toddler back pack (too heavy)? I appreciate any help anyone can provide. I'd love to take him along! Thank you.
I took my 1 year old in a backpack. I put him in a warm snow suit that covered everything except his eyes. After about 15 minutes, he was asleep. I stayed on packed trails because my weight increased substantially. But, all in all...it was great time. He seemed to enjoy - although he was asleep the entire time. Have fun!
I take my 10 month old with me occasionally. If its a quick trip and the trail is packed he likes riding on my shoulders. I also have strapped a sled to my climbing harness and sat him in that. He enjoys both ways. i have found the key to a successful outing is keeping the little guy warm.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful advice. I bought a child carrier by Sherpani that I think will work out well - we're off this weekend! Thanks, again!
