Captain Benjamin Kizer

I am researching my genealogy and am wondering if this Benjamin Kizer is my g-g-g-grandfather. Does anyone have any information about him that might be useful?
Thanks,
Christie

Re: Captain Benjamin Kizer

BJ Kizer was the captain of Co. G? I think that's right. He's buried in New Site, MS near a community called Roaring Holler just off hwy 4. He is buried near the Gaines family and had a son named Clifford Gaines Kizer. CGK actually was a school teacher and taught my uncle, David Earl Jones who remembered him quite well.

Unless the man has passed on I believe BJ's GRANDSON Ellis Kizer still lives in Prentiss County. Its been a while since I've thought about these folks... hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply! Although I found out this was not my ggg-grandfather, he may still be related to my Kizers and the info. you provided may help someone else.
