Pvt. Bluford Turner Allen, Co. E, 26th Mississippi Infantry was the great great grandfather of Senator Fred Thompson, Republican PResidential Candidate. Bluford T. Allen died in 1923 and is buried in the Wright Cemetery in Lauderdale County, Alabama.

Sorry but Bluford is Senator Fred Thompson's great grandfather, not great-great.
