I'm an old player from 70's
Hi from Richmond, Virginia Feeling a bit nostalgic and found this forum. I used to play for Feltham way back in the late 60's/early 70's just after Glebelands was built. Mostly played in the reserves when Feltham was in the Surrey Senior League. Did manage to play in the FA Cup (came on as a sub with 5 minutes to go when we were getting beaten 6-0 at home to Barnet) and had no impact on the game. Also used to play for Chase Rovers when they reached the dizzy heights of the West Middlesex Sunday League Premier Divisin, my striking partner being one Peter Farren. Being the 'poor relations of the division we did manage to ruffle a few feathers. Ah o play again at Cobham where they cleared the cows off the pitch just before kick off and sliding tackles resulted in a thigh covered in cows dung. |
